Hi Kid: Deep Roots of DEI at Colorado State University

Featuring: Hiring Focused on Race, Diplomas Depend on DEI, and a Trojan Horse in the White House

Hello Hi Kid Fans & Friends! The fascinating flurry of Executive Orders and federal changes from the White House will have profound effects locally and across our state. We will dive into all the details and provide you updates and analysis. Today we take a look at DEI and Colorado State University. CSU is a key partner of Poudre School District, (read more from our article HERE), and both organizations are knee-deep in DEI. Thank you for your continued support; we are grateful for you. LET’S TALK ABOUT IT…

A University Founded on DEI

The worldview of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion is the foundation upon which Colorado State University rests.

Not according to us.

According to CSU.

“…diversity, equity, and inclusion are…the foundations of Colorado State’s progress…”

But what happens when that foundation is bombarded by White House actions?

CSU uses billions in federal funding to embed DEI throughout the university. Tax dollars fund CSU’s infusion of DEI into hiring, staff development, and undergraduate graduation requirements. President Trump’s recent Executive Order to protect civil rights and expand individual opportunity by eliminating DEI from federal spending and from policies and requirements stands in opposition to CSU’s operational model. CSU depends on significant federal funding, including over $5 billion in federal grants, $52 billion in CARES and ARP grants, and Pell grants. Removing CSU’s DEI foundation fixated on diversity, equity, and inclusion as core values seems Herculean.

What are some DEI practices CSU may currently be scrambling to cover-up, rename, change, or eliminate?

That is a lot of taxpayer dough.
