How Influential Are the Chiefs?

How do the Chiefs influence educational change?

Last week we began asking about an influential organization in Poudre School District and across Colorado—Chiefs for Change.  We learned that district employees have raised questions about this group and that made us want to learn more.  For background, please read last week’s post HERE. 

The Chiefs in Colorado

Chiefs for Change is a multi-million dollar non-governmental organization which recruits, trains and deploys their trainees to lead in K-12 public education institutions across the country.  Chiefs for Change is politically connected (FOIA documents connect Chiefs for Change with the White House’s Secretary of Education), is funded by massive networks such as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, is connected with controversial contracts, and is even a partner of the United Nation’s UNESCO branch charged with implementation of the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

Significantly, Chiefs for Change is tightly networked across Colorado.  Click HERE for a list of Colorado Chiefs, including PSD’s Superintendent Brian Kingsley, who became a Chief shortly after becoming Superintendent of PSD in 2021.
